(humorous video response sent by one of the email recipients)

On Friday November 4th, Lobbyist Roel Espino sent very unsettling emails (screenshots below), to suggest the recreation of the complete abomination that was January 6th. This displays both insanity and ignorance. Espino asked for the recreation of the violent mob for the purpose of quote "authenticity", completly disregarding the gravity of the horrors of the event. Further, the persistant defending of this idea by Espino shows support for an inherently violent event and mocks the tragic ramifications it had for many of the American people and it should not be taken lightly.

Even after being called out by another Lobbyist for the absurd suggestion, he continues to justify it, claiming that it was a necessary event for unheard voices. Following was a plethora of unnecessary comments that revealed a fundamental misunderstanding about both the happenings and results of January 6th. There were also rude comments made directed towards another lobbyist.

To say that the event allowed voices to be heard is ludicrous considering that event was rooted in an effort to silence the voices of millions of voters. Not only is Espino clearly ignorant to the fact that January 6th tried to silence voters by subverting the democratic process, he is disregarding the loss of American lives and mocking the overall tragedy. And what's even more alarming is that even after a colleague expressed to him her personal experience with January 6th he was STILL unable to grasp the imbecility of his original statement.

Further Espino’s remarks have initiated concerns about his involvement this session. One of the lobbyists from the receiving end of this email chain shared their sentiments on the matter:

“This was definitely the most bizarre thing I have ever received in an email and then just the visceral reaction that I got reading it literally made me want to throw up... It's really just embarrassing and then to disregard the feelings of another lobbyist who was actually in the area at the time of January 6th?! ... "- Lobbyist [This quote has been edited to retract the factual inaccuracies of this statement.]

Needless to say, the minimum of an apology should be issued to the recipients of this email.
