The Washington Watch has been keeping a close watch on the upcoming Georgia runoff election between current Senator Ralph Warnock and pro football player Herschel Walker. We recently released an article on new controversies that have risen about Herschel Walker since the Georgia midterm election occurred. We would like to issue a short update on what has occurred since.
While most of these scandals have been bad, they have not indicted him of a crime or questioned the validity of his candidacy in Georgia. The Washington Watch was made aware of a scandal regarding Walker this morning that may in fact do both.
A reporter named Ann Gregory Roberts filed a complaint this week to look into a potential crime that Walker committed that would violate Georgia law.
It was revealed through Walker’s tax records recently that his primary residence is in Texas. The complaint was filed because Walker has registered to vote in Georgia while still being a primary resident of Texas. Walker has allegedly voted in both of Georgia’s 2021 and 2022 elections.
While there is still much confusion on whether or not Walker committed voter fraud by doing so, it certainly is not a good look to have yet another scandal tainting his image just days before the runoff election.
The Washington Watch wishes good luck to Senator Warnock in his race for re-election.
